What does it take to commit political suicide? Flip-flopping on issues doesn’t do it. Commit a minor crime, and you are still ok. It is amazing how short the American public’s memory is. Instead of voting out politicians that they are unhappy with, they vote them right back in. Congress’ approval rating is a dismal 39% right now, but I guarantee that come election time most of the same people will be right back in office. I guess politicians don’t need to buy political Funeral Insurance do they?
