Water conservation is not as hard is it seems. One city, Alamogordo, New Mexico, cut its water usage in half by building a water reclaimation system, repair of water systems, and citizen eduction. Another city offered rebates to business and residences that installed waterless urinals. A residential complex in New York was outfitted with its own water treatment system. This building consumes 50% less water than similar buildings.
Of course, the easiest way to conserve water is to simply turn off bathroom faucets while brushing your teeth. Just doing this can save 1 billion gallons of water annually.
