I remember sitting in class watching many reels of film all about Jacques Cousteau and his underwater adventures. What I didn’t realize was the watch that he wore in every episode was first introduced by IWC as the Aquatimer. The Aquatimer changed the diving watch market. It was the first watch to have a rotating bezel inside the watch, not on the outside.
Jacques Cousteau was really this first environmentalist that young children got to see. His concern about the oceans and all the creatures is what has influenced many of the environmentalists today.
