The Green Game
In Environment | no comments yet | permalink
It seems that everyone, everywhere is thinking green these days. Well, not everyone, but certainly the high profile celebrities and media corporations. Take for instance, NBC. Bob Costas told viewers on Sunday that they were turning off the lights in the studio “to raise awareness about environmental issues.” Of course, he didn’t tell you that the outdoor lighting at the Philadelphia Eagles - Dallas Cowboys football game itself would consume about 65,000 kilowatt hours of electricity and 35,000 cubic feet of natural gas.
Plus, don’t forget all the electricity being used by people actually watching the game on TV and the cars that drove to the stadium to watch the game. Thank you Bob for raising awareness!
