Huckabee recently accused Mitt Romney of voter suppression. Huckabee is not at all happy about Romney stance that a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain. Too bad Huckabee doesn’t listen to the news that often, because thats what everyone else is saying. Romney fired back with “It’s not voter suppression. I want people to vote, but I want them to vote for me. That’s sort of the nature of politics, as I understand it.”

Tt is unfortunate that Huckabee doesn’t even read his old notes. Seems he may be guilty of a little voter suppression. Here are a few of Huckabee’s own comments about voting:

“Fill up your car. Rent a van. Hijack your church’s bus. Whatever you have to do, get people to the caucus who are going to vote for me…If you’re going to vote for one of those other guys, you really should stay home and watch the Orange Bowl. Make some chili. Sit back, kick your feet up. It’s cold out there, people. Don’t go.”

“If they’re not going to vote for me, shovel your snow in their driveway. Don’t let these people out.”

“Just tell them the caucuses have been moved to February for better weather.”

“Let the air out of their tires, disconnect their battery cables. That’ll make the press. That’ll be the front page: Huckabee Encourages Vandalism for Supporters of Other Candidates.”

“If you’ve got friends you think you can persuade to vote for me, tell them you’re going to take them to dinner. Pull over at their house about six o’clock, pull up in the driveway, honk the horn, when they get in the back seat, toss ‘em a bologna sandwich and say, “eat quick” caucus is in 30 minutes.”

“People wonder, do I believe in the resurrection? Of course, I do. Dead people vote in every election we have in Arkansas. The resurrection is real to us. You don’t even have to go to church to believe it, just go to the polls.”

Huckabee also decided that Romney is running dishonest ads. He seems to think that anything that puts him in a negative light is “dishonest.” He should have talked to John McCain first before he made such a comment. Remember, John McCain thinks Romney is one of the most honest politicians he knows.
