As the baby boomers get older, elder care in this country will grow tremendously. People are living longer, but they are not always able to live on their own. A friend of mine recently had to put her mother in a nursing home but later found that the care was inadequate. Some assisted living facilities and other nursing homes are now using assisted living software to help them better manage residents, nurses and day-to-day operations of the facility.

Unfortunately, it does not seem that Medicare or Medicaid will be able to pay for much needed care for older Americans. Unless the system is fixed immediately, we will indeed have a crisis on our hands.
