Do you long for the good old days? Do you want you computer to run at the dos command line instead of windows? Do you want gas prices to be 25 cents per gallon? Think again!

In 1981, gas prices were actually over $3.00 a gallon when adjusted for inflation. Not only that, the unemployment rate was 7.1 percent. This was just after Jimmy Carter left office. He ran on what he called the “misery index” - the unemployment rate added with the rate of inflation. When Carter entered office the misery index was 13%, when he left it was over 20%!! It took Reagan years to lower the rate to under 10% when he left office.

The good old days were not as good as you think! Today the unemployment rate is 4.6%. Now we just need to do something about those gas prices!
