Pat Quinn is running for re-election as Governor of Illinois. He took over for the previous Governor – Rod Blagojevich, when is ran into ethics problems. Quinn is running against State Comptroller Dan Hynes. The primary election will be held in February and there has been negative campaigning on both sides. Quinn has accused Hynes of being absent and even taken a spa (hopefully with new spa filters installed due to increased concern about swine flu) when important work needed to be done. Unfortunately, the ad just didn’t add up. It seems Hynes was just getting a hair cut, not taking a spa. You should always check your facts! Here is the original ad:
