The unemployment numbers for November were down. Not down by much though. October’s rate was 10.2 percent and November’s was 10 percent. However, this drop gives people hope. While employers cut less jobs less month, there are many still search for jobs, some like a friend of mine who is investing in medical coding training courses, are looking for retraining. Others are willing to relocate to find a good.

The problem is, however, the underemployment figure which doesn’t exist. There are many people who are employed in part time jobs or more than one job to make ends meet. They are still struggling and need to find better employment, but are not counted in the unemployment numbers.

Hopefully, a New Year will see a new focus on creating jobs instead of just doling out money to special interests
