Unfortunately, there are many people out there convinced that it is all the Republican’s fault. Today, Goldman Sachs executives were grilled by senators about their financial dealings. Goldman Sachs was among the many banks that received billions of dollars in taxpayer money to help it stay afloat. It is a company that invests in almost every industry that is affected by federal legislation.

Over the last twenty years, Goldman Sachs has given over $11 million to Republican candidates. Hold on, though, they have given almost twice as much, over $20 million to Democratic candidates. In 2008 alone, Goldman Sachs gave $1.5 million to Republicans and $4.5 million to Democrats.
