I recently wrote about the dismal unemployment numbers and how they may have gone down, but they do not reflect those individuals that are underemployment. Many Americans are holding two or three part time jobs just to make ends meet. Employers are often using pre-employment screening techniques to find the most qualified employee, as they must wade through hundreds of resumes.

CareerBuilder has just reported, that in 2010, more employers will increase their full time job offerings. Twenty percent of those surveyed plan to offer more full time jobs, while 61% don’t plan to change staff levels. Unfortunately, nine percent said that they plan to decrease staff levels.

Hopefully, this is a move in the right direction and more full time jobs will become available.
