Seven Hundred Billion Bailout

I have been reading a lot about the proposed bailout. There are still a lot of analysts out there that believe that this bailout is just a bandaid. It may help for a while, but disaster is still pending. In order to really get things back in order, government spending needs to decrease substantially. Our federal government has trillions of dollars in debt and it just keeps getting worse. I was hoping that George Bush would cut government spending, but he has not. I don’t think we will see that much reduction with McCain and we definitely will not see a reduction if Obama gets into office.
Seven Hundred Billion Dollars works out to $2,000 for every man, woman and child in the United States. Basically, my family of five would owe $10,000 to bailout the financial institutions. The government really has no choice in the matter. No bailout and everyone will be hurting, but that doesn’t mean the average American won’t feel angry about the bailout. You see, we don’t get bailout if we don’t pay our bills. In fact, stop paying your taxes and see what happens.
