Speaking of the bill of rights, you should check out the Constitution Project!

The Constitution Project Description

The Constitution. Grade-schoolers know it, even Homer Simpson and Captain Kirk have read it; but does every politician know the details of this country’s owner’s manual? That’s the question the Constitution Project (www.constitutionproject.com) is demanding of political leaders, celebrities and everyday citizens - prove you have read the Constitution.

The Constitution Project is a vibrant new video platform that challenges current and would-be U.S. political leaders to prove they’ve read the document that is of critical importance to their job by recording themselves reading the Constitution, offering personal insights on how any part of it has affected them and sharing the entire filmed experience online at www.constitutionproject.com.

The project isn’t limited to politicos but open to all citizens who can submit videos in any style—from serious to comedic to dramatic tearjerker—showing the world how the Constitution is an integral part of their lives today.

As the country readies for elections, the innovative project will likely develop strange political bedfellows by providing an open forum for celebrities, politicos and average Americans to read, dissect and discuss their personal interpretations of the founding document and its principles.

Videos aren’t the only thing to see at The Constitution Project. The site also offers entertaining content and activities inspired by the Constitution including pop culture news to keep abreast on who’s saying something outrageous, a wiki that lets people attempt to write a modern day constitution and original episodic videos that focus on hot button issues like immigration or gun control. The site is updated continuously with both user-generated and professional content and it’s always a surprise to find out which celebrities and iconic characters might just show their support for the Constitution or decide to discuss the finer points of the Bill of Rights.

To see if your local legislator knows and follows the Constitution and make a stand for democracy, visit www.constitutionproject.com.
