President Obama is taking things one step at a time. The next item on his agenda is health care. Obama wants a government-run insurance option as part of the plan to fix the current health system. Many people on Medicare have found it necessary to purchase a Medicare supplement since the health care coverage is not sufficient.

However, many are not happy with the option of a publicly run health care system saying that the government has never run things effectively. Many oppose the idea stating that it may eventually lead to private insurance companies going out of business.

Obama is hoping that his option will be comparable in price and coverage to many private insurance plans while at the same time not having to raise taxes to cover the costs.

Hopefully, a good solution will be found for the floundering health care system.
