One of the big questions concerning the health care reform that is currently being debated in Congress, is what will it cover? Some politicians insist that it WILL cover illegal aliens adding to the already large tax burden of citizens, while others claim it will not. There has been some debate over abortion coverage as well. While some people probably wish that it would cover everything from purchasing the best fat burner to help them lose weight, to the entire cost or prescriptions and even medical marijuana, it is still unclear of how the health care plan will even work.

Unfortunately, there are too many people that think this will solve all of the nation’s health care problems. The Senate health care plan would add $1 trillion to the deficit and yet would still leave 30 million Americans without coverage. The House plan, would add between one and two trillion to the deficit and leave 17 million Americans without coverage.

Why are we asking politicians to devise a health care plan? Doesn’t it seem a little silly that most of them have zero experience in this arena? They need to take a little more time discussing, organizing and reviewing instead of rushing through a plan that will probably be a disaster.
