Cuba Travel Restrictions Eased But Not Gone

Back in April, President Obama eased travel restrictions to Cuba for Cuban Americans, causing a number of citizens to seek travel deals to Cuba, only to be told that some travel restrictions are still in place. Governor Richardson of New Mexico, who is visiting Cuba, called on Obama to lift all travel restrictions.
While telecommunication companies can seek business in Cuba, a trade embargo still exists. Many, who think that Cuba is no threat to the United States, seek to end all restrictions. We may yet see Havana as a future Spring Break travel location.
