Phony Soldiers

I listen to Rush Limbaugh, sometimes I even listen to news clips on my MP3 player. Sometimes I think he is right on the money and sometimes I think he is off in right field. Rush used the term “phony soldiers” when setting up a story about Jesse Macbeth, a former soldier who was recently sentenced to five months in prison for obtaining veterans’ benefits by falsifying his military records and who now opposes the war.
Unfortunately, the name calling in the media and in politics is at an all time high. Those who are calling for Rush’s condemnation are the same people who have called our soldiers worse names. It is high time that we put an end to all the name calling and outright slander that is going on today. You would think after the nation came together after 9/11 we would be a gentle, kinder, nation. Doesn’t seem to be the case.
