While I was at jury duty, the talk amongst the jurors often drifts to other cases they have heard about. Here is one I recently read about that fortunately will NOT go to trial.

It seems that a police sergeant slipped and fell while trying to rescue a small boy. The boy nearly drowned in a swimming pool and there was water on the floor of his home when the sergeant arrived. She slid on the wet floor and broke her knee. She was suing the family claiming negligence. Maybe the sergeant is in desperate need of some Orlando vacations and some little extra cash. However, her lawyer recently told the press that she has dropped the lawsuit. She had been criticized by her department and placed on leave.

Shame on her for even brining such a lawsuit!
