Obama hasn’t done so well on picking cabinet members. First there was the tax problems and now Obama is nominating Charles Freeman to serve as Chairman of the National Intelligence Council. Wow, I would love to have home theater seating in the Congress when they try and approve this guy.

Freeman has basically stated that the Tianamen massacre was justified by the Chinese government. He is also viewed as not very friendly to Israel and had accepted accepted a $1 million donation from Prince Alwaleed bin Talal for the council on Middle East Policy. Freeman has also stated that he thinks the reason America confronts a terrorism problem is because of “the brutal oppression of the Palestinians by an Israeli occupation that is about to mark its fortieth anniversary and shows no sign of ending.”

I wonder how far this nomination will go and if Obama really needs to review his vetting system.
