It is bound to be a sell-out, if you can call it that. Tickets for the inauguration of President-elect Obama are actually given away for free, but they have been spotted for sale on the internet for as much as $40,000. Over a million people could descend on Washington, DC on January 20, 2009 to see the first African-American sworn in as President. Of course, this is not the first time that some old white guy is sworn in as Vice-President!
I hear that many celebrities are keeping their schedules open in hopes of performing at the gala. Beyonce is one of those. She is hoping that Obama will give her the nod to perform. I, on the other hand, will be sitting in my living room (no I don’t have home theater seating) to watch the event. I think it will be way to cold in January to attend the real thing!
