Often, when I watch a movie for the first time, I think it is wonderful. But, after time and wisdom, the movie seems not quite as good as it use to be. This is the case for Duel starring Dennis Weaver. This movie reminds me of all the bad drivers I see every day!
The movie was a made for TV movie and aired in 1971. The plot involves a driver (Dennis Weaver) who is followed and harassed by a truck driver. When I first say this movie, I was truly frightened. What if this could actually happen? Driving along a long road with another driver trying to run you off the road and maybe even kill you. Of course, now that I watch the movie, it was a little cheesy! Today I could easily find a truck accident lawyer and sue the pants off the guy! Even the trailer is cheesy!
